Assessment of Thermal and Mechanical Properties of Cement-Based Materials—Part 1: Crumb Rubber Concrete

The energy performance of buildings and the high consumption traditional building materials are considered to be most important aspects that related implementation sustainability concept in construction industry with respect natural environment. At same time, another global ecological problem is represented by different types waste resulting from existing industries. Therefore, it necessary civil engineering specialists find new solutions can improve thermal environmental performances taking into consideration large amounts waste. Taking account fact concrete used material sector elements have a significant influence over overall building, present paper takes under observation use tire rubber as replacement for aggregates. This study considers 10%, 20%, 30% 4–8 mm aggregates crumb cylindrical granules. values show an improvement performance, but at mechanical properties reduced.
